We're Nick & Steph, the owners of Runway 27, and we're so happy you found us.
Coffee has been a big part of our story from the moment we met. It was a common interest of ours that also provided for an easy date afternoon. As time went on, we started to see the place that coffee can have in forming a larger community, whether that's around a physical shop, or around a brand.
We wanted to find our place in this, and so we started Runway 27, where we love to celebrate the things that go wrong that make adventures memorable. We spent the early years of our relationship flying back and forth while dating long distance. Now, with friends and family scattered across the country, we continue to frequently find ourselves in the skies as we try to be part of many of life's biggest moments, and doing our own exploring along the way. Through all those flights, we've learned that the moments we remember often come from the unexpected inconveniences of travel. The late night flights, the movies we watch while delayed on the tarmac, the time we took home the wrong suitcase. And through it all, a good cup of coffee made everything a little bit better.
The broader vision for Runway 27 is that it provides a way for us to connect both with our community of fellow coffee loving adventurers and our home base of San Diego. The name "Runway 27" is an ode to San Diego by referencing the airport's sole runway, where most of our adventures start and end.
