Joy in the Journey
Adventure looks different for everyone. For us, it entails a lot of weekend trips to visit friends and family, where we jet off from Runway 27 at San Diego's airport. For others, adventure may include weekend road trips, deep sea diving, exploring their local city, being in nature, or starting a new business. Whatever it looks like for you, we're glad you're here, and we're all going to celebrate and laugh at the bumps in our journeys together.
We're doing small batch coffee roasting in San Diego and shipping nationwide! We also offer on-demand coffee from a roasting partner of ours. Take a look at our selection and reach out with any questions!
October's Roast
While much of the country is enjoying a nice Fall, San Diego has been in the midst of a heatwave. This lead us to planning a roast that would be good for cold brew, as we were serving up samples at a charity golf tournament.
We decided on a Brazil bean and medium roast. As cold brew highlights a coffee's underlying notes more than hot brewing methods due to the extended time the grounds are in contact with the water, we opted for a bean and roast profile that would lead to more chocolately flavors vs fruity flavors in a light roast.
Our cold brew resulted in having some caramel notes while the pour over was a bit nuttier, at least to our taste buds. Either way, we enjoyed the roast hot or cold! So it ended up being a perfect October roast for anyone in the heat wave looking for a cold brew or for folks with a true fall looking for a cozy cup.

Frequently asked questions
Do You Roast Your Own coffee?
Yes! You can order Runway 27 roasted coffee through the World Traveler Coffee Roast offerings (subscription or single bag). Currently, we roast our beans once per month. Customers who want their coffee on-demand can order one of our named bags (look for names like Lost Luggage) which are fulfilled through our roasting partner and are roasted to order.
Are any purchases final sale?
If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, please reach out and we will find a way to make it right.
When will I get my order?
For the World Traveler Coffee Subscription, we currently roast once per month, around the 15th. We then ship via UPS and coffees generally arrive within 5 days. You can expect your coffee sometime around the 18th-22nd based on roasting date.
For coffee fulfilled by our roasting partner, coffees are generally roasted the next business day and take 5 days for shipping.
Do you offer any bulk or custom roasting?

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free for all coffees. For merch, shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
